The historic AA Rosette coaching inn, 12 miles south of Oban on the A85, achieved its first AA Rosette last year. Shortlisted in the Informal Dining category of the 2016 Scottish Hotel Awards, it is owned by young Chef-Patron John McNulty, formerly at the renowned Kilberry Inn seafood restaurant between Lochgilphead and Tarbert.
The menu could include some of his favourites such as locally sourced Inverawe Trout with Salmon Mousse and Trout Caviar, Boned Leg of Aberdeenshire Lamb served on petit pois a la Francaise (Pictured) and the popular Rhubarb Souffle with Rhubarb Crème Anglaise and choice of homemade Ice Cream.
The hotel’s bar stocks more than 100 whiskies and 50 gins, over half of which are Scottish. It has its own specialist whisky shop.
