Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow Celebrates Hard Rock's 46th Birthday

Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow is ready to celebrate like it’s 1971! On June 14, 1971, two-music loving Americans, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton opened the first-ever Hard Rock Cafe in London and an iconic brand was born. After Eric Clapton asked to hang his guitar in that location, Tigrett and Morton had a vision to combine music, memorabilia and food for a one-of-a-kind guest experience. To honour the brand’s founders and celebrate its birthday on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow will offer 71p burgers for one hour only, from 12pm-1pm.
Anyone celebrating their birthday on the same day as Hard Rock Cafe will be eligible for any Hard Rock burger for just 71p at any point throughout the day (with valid ID only). Of course, it wouldn’t be a Hard Rock birthday without a DJ spinning rockin’ anthems from early ‘til late, a whole host of surprise and delight offers throughout the day, and a live acoustic performance from Hard Rock Rising Glasgow winners Altered Sky.
“At 46 years old, Hard Rock Cafe locations across the country will help celebrate the brand’s birthday in true rock-star fashion,” said Alex Merchan, Senior Director of Marketing for Hard Rock International. “Guests of all ages are encouraged to stop by their local cafe to enjoy a sizzling burger for only 71 pence.”
Just like the artists whose memorabilia line the walls at Hard Rocks worldwide, the burgers that Hard Rock Cafe serves are nothing short of legendary. All burgers are made with the highest quality meats, fresh toppings, savory sauces and rich, melted cheeses.
