Masterclasses at Galvin Brasserie de Luxe, Edinburgh

Please see details below of the latest series of monthly masterclasses at Galvin Brasserie de Luxe. These informal and relaxed events are a perfect way to discover exciting new food and drink pairings whilst relaxing with friends.

Craft Beer and Artisan Cheese

  • Thursday 22nd June
  • 6pm
  • £19 per person

Beer is one of the world’s oldest beverages, and one that we often forget to enjoy with food! Join the Brasserie’s sommelier Damien as he shares the unique flavours of Scottish craft beers alongside a selection of British cheeses.

Summer Fruits and Wine

  • Thursday 27th July
  • 6.30pm
  • £19.50 per person

In the July masterclass, head chef Jamie will showcase summer desserts featuring peaches, apricots and cherries, each accompanied with a matched wines selected by sommelier Damien.

Truffle and Wine

  • Thursday 31st August
  • 6.30pm
  • £19.50 per person

Watch head chef Jamie share his secrets as he prepares a delicious truffle risotto from scratch. Sommelier Damien has selected a variety of wines to match and will lead the way through a delicious tasting.

Oysters and Champagne

  • Monday 11th September
  • 6.30pm
  • £19.50 per person

September's masterclass is led by head chef Jamie, who will share how to buy, prepare and serve oysters, whilst sommelier Damien will serve a selection of different wines and champagne to match.

Autumn Beer

  • Thursday 26th October
  • 6.30pm
  • £19.50 per person

Enjoy a flavour of autumn as head chef Jamie prepares 3 dishes with delicious pumpkin and squash. Sommelier Damien will present matched beers to enjoy alongside each dish.
