Beers of the World Cup - #10 South Korea - Hite Ice Point

After two and a half weeks of football, we now know the quarter finalist in the FIFA World Cup. As I continue with my #beersoftheworldcup challenge I move onto a review of the best selling selling lager from South Korea that will be as short as the Koreans time Brazil.
Sourcing my bottle of Hite Ice Cold wasn't the easiest thing that I've ever done but it will be one of the most unsatisfying tasks that I will ever do.
Ice Cold is an American style beer brewed by the Hite Brewery Company Limited in the South Korean capital, Seoul. The brewery produce a number of different styles of beers and lagers with Ice Cold being their biggest seller and claiming upto 55% of the beer market in South Korea.
The beer pours with a golden straw colour with a very thin head that actually disappeared before I could take a picture of the beer in the glass! There is nothing interesting on the nose either with very little aroma coming from the glass except a faint sweetness. To taste, Ice Cold tastes like a poor pretended to the American beers that it has been styled on but sweeter. I'd go so far as to say that this is one of the worst beers that I have ever drunk - in fact, I didn't bother finishing the bottle, it was so unpleasant. If it weren't for this challenge, I would never had tasted South Korea's favourite drink, however it's one more that I can score off the list.
Keep up to date with my progress on Twitter as I try to comete my challenge and you can also let me know which South Korean beers you would pick , using the hashtag #beersoftheworldcup
